- Chore Data: Chores you create, complete, and their associated XP rewards.
- Chat Messages: Messages exchanged with your partner within the app.
- Rewards: Custom rewards you create and their fulfillment status.
- Images: Photos you upload for Auto chore creation (processed by Google Gemini for chore creation).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve ChoreWars
- Process your chores, rewards, and XP calculations
- Enable communication between you and your partner
- Send push notifications about chore reminders and partner activity
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With Your Partner: Chore activity, messages, and rewards are shared with your connected partner.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services (Supabase, Firebase, Google Gemini) to host, operate, and provide AI features.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for our backend infrastructure, which provides:
- Encrypted data at rest and in transit
- Regular security audits and compliance certifications
- Automatic backups and disaster recovery
Data Retention: Synced data is routinely cleared on a weekly basis to ensure app performance and privacy. Unsynced data is preserved on your device.

- New features and product updates — improvements and additions to ChoreWars.
- New product launches — other apps or services we release that may be relevant to you.
- Tips and best practices — how to get more out of ChoreWars.
We send these communications on the basis of legitimate interest (soft opt-in). You are an existing customer and these communications relate directly to the type of service you signed up for.
Your choice: Every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link. You can also opt out here at any time and we will honour your request immediately. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional messages such as account security notices.

ChoreWars is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
